Hello

I believe our thoughts, emotions and actions are all connected. During periods of high stress, negative thoughts and overwhelming emotion can cause dysfunction in our daily lives. Therapy can support you in reframing negative thoughts, so you can better manage your emotional experience and thus, change harmful actions toward yourself and others.

About Me: Stacey Bankston, LMFT

I remember years ago, at my previous job in Corporate Wellness, after completing a yearlong course in Wellness Coaching, I believed I was still at the tip of the iceberg when it came to helping people. I wanted to learn more, develop more, and expand my intellectual and emotional capacity to be able to truly help people navigate the challenges they were facing - no matter how big or small. Shortly after that realization, I applied to a graduate program and have been grateful for my decision ever since.

My experience includes working with adolescents, teens, families and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, eating disorders, opposition, relationship and behavioral problems. I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership between the client and therapist.

I incorporate a variety of therapeutic practices to best meet the individual needs of each client including CBT, mindfulness, somatic work and trauma-informed care. I hold certifications as a Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). â€‹My background in Kinesiology assists in supporting client's build healthy relationships between themselves, their emotions and their bodies - as much healing can occur through movement and the mind/body connection. I offer walk and talk therapy in addition to virtual and in-office sessions.
