Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
PCIT may be helpful to you if:
Your child is having tantrums/emotional outbursts, negative attention seeking behaviors, and/or aggressive behaviors you feel you cannot control.
You feel a lack of confidence in your parenting abilities and experience parental frustration and/or anxiety with your child at home and/or public settings.
You are feeling stuck with parenting and do not know what to do since the consequences you have tried did not work and the consequences you are using are not working.
PCIT is Here to Help
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based intervention that has been proven to be effective for parents of children ages 2-7 years-old with a variety of behavioral challenges. Our PCIT Certified Clinician provides coaching to parents or child's guardian in real time helping them to learn and apply new positive parenting skills and effective consequences. PCIT is a Two-Phase program that lasts a total of weekly 12-20 weeks designed to help families improve their relationships with their children, gain confidence in their parenting abilities, and help their child with emotional regulation.
Progress is tracked and reviewed at each session along the way. This intervention can be done in the office or virtual.
Sessions are 55-60 minutes each
